Precise manufacturing of highly complex die-casting moulds for various engines, suspension concepts and spaceframe concepts is part of the regular orders carried out by Weinmüller. Close cooperation with vehicle manufacturers and foundries produces die-casting moulds of the highest quality for high production rates.

Engineering

We offer the entire range of services in modern mould and tool construction in the sense of simultaneous engineering, starting from product development and taking in filling simulation, rapid tooling and rapid prototyping, right through to the sampling of casting moulds and drafting of initial sample inspection reports.

Construction

Our generously proportioned construction areas offer a lot of space for good ideas. Our customers set high requirements for our tools, which offers a challenge to our creativity and performance.

Our CAD specialists will implement all the plans for the system desired by the customer in an optimised environment.

With the help of state-of-the-art 3D CAD systems, our well-practised team of technicians develops individual die-casting moulds.

Weinmüller has ProEngineer, CATIA workstations for the purpose, and a continuous CAD/CAM process chain is of course a prerequisite. Close cooperation with our customers is very important to us at every stage of the development process.

This allows us to respond flexibly and dynamically to the unique challenges of each project. Long years of experience in foundry operation and technical know-how are our forte.

Simulation

At the request of our customers we can carry out casting and process simulations in cooperation with the Metallguss Aalen team. This has proved useful especially in the case of complex and thin-walled parts in the design and layout of the gating and overflow system, as well as in tool cooling.

We design optimum gating systems with overflows and exhaust ventilation for your castings, and carry out gating calculations for filling, solidification and process simulations. The objective is to produce as few air pockets and swirls as possible. This is where you will benefit from our more than 60 years of experience as manufacturers of die-casting moulds.

We manufacture die-casting moulds of up to 50 tonnes mainly for the automobile industry.

Our motivated employees use state-of-the-art technology to find intelligent solutions without forgetting the small details that require hand crafting. Our working processes are certified according to DIN ISO 9001, which testifies to the strict quality orientation of the company.

Mould Construction

We understand our trade. Our tools are precise, economic and highly resilient. Moreover, our tools are particularly distinguished by a pressure-tight touch of the mating surfaces and closed jointing planes.

Weinmüller also offers the complete spectrum of modern mould construction services for contract processing. Milling work up to 4000 mm length and eroding work up to 1400 mm can be carried out economically.

High-performance, state-of-the-art, continually upgraded and further developed tool machinery, particularly in the area of HSC cutters, is an ideal working basis for our own high quality standards at Weinmüller.
